Our Story

MEA was founded by Kaye-Maree Dunn, supported by his brother Mita, over a decade ago with a simple belief: that Māori organisations thrive when they have clarity on governance, strategy, and how to communicate with impact

Our Journey

Over a decade, we've worked with 140+ iwi, government agencies, and corporates. We've learned that transformation happens through three things: honest kōrero, strategic clarity, and the willingness to work alongside people for the long term.

We started because we saw a gap. Many Māori organisations needed support with governance, communications, and strategic planning, but they wanted partners who understood kaupapa Māori values, not consultants who parachuted in with generic solutions. So we built a team that lives those values.

Our Kaimahi

Our team brings expertise in governance facilitation, strategic planning, communications and brand, project leadership, and AI training. But what ties us together is a commitment to kaupapa Māori values and a belief that the best outcomes happen when you listen first, think strategically, and co-create with your partners.
