MEA helped in delivering the communications strategy for Puna Wai Ora (Te Hiku Drought Relief) Programme Pilot Phase comprising communications advisory, brand development, whānau engagement and project management.
Te Aupōuri, one of the five iwi of Muriwhenua, encompassing Te Hiku o te Ika a Māui, the Far North of Aotearoa, is supported by the Te Aupōuri Iwi Development Trust (TAIDT), a charitable trust and subsidiary of Te Rūnanga Nui o Te Aupōuri. Tasked with distributing funds from the Rūnanga to benefit Te Aupōuri people and the community, TAIDT focuses on promoting educational, spiritual, economic, social, and cultural well-being.
MEA played a small role in supporting TAIDT in their communication campaigns, engaging both internal and external stakeholders through a strategic plan that includes website development, media releases, social media campaigns, and advisory services. Key deliverables encompass a fully functional website, an operative 0800 number, a dynamic Facebook page with sample posts, YouTube videos, a collection of assets including photos and interviews.
